Construction :
Basically airless spraying system consists of a plunger pump, high pressure filter, a pressure hose and airless gun with nozzle. This is a very compact design and is easy to use.

Different Models In Airless :

  • Sarita - Sarita is one of the models designed for maximum output fluid of 5 kg/min. It is a compact design which produces a maximum fluid pressure of 210 kgf /cm2 .The ratio is of 30:1 for this pump.
  • Sagar - Sagar is a high end model for airless painting application. This model is available in a variety of range, producing fluid output of minimum of 150 kgf /cm2 to maximum of 500 kgf/ cm2. The maximum pressure ratio available with sagar is 75:1
  • Airless Spray Gun - SAE - 5 - This Airless Spray Gun is a light weight and handy. It has proven its performance in varieties of application and therefore SAE-5 is known to be painter's first choice.

Salient Features :

  • Paint path is internal & safe.
  • For safety, trigger guard & Trigger lock are provided to avoid accidental spraying.
  • To ensure longer life, cartridge type packing is provided.
  • Extra fine mesh filter is provided inside the gun to avoid nozzle clogging.

Accessories :   

  • T-C ( Turn Clean) Holder - It facilitates an instant flush-out of the clogged nozzle tip without removing the tip from the gun. This saves down time to a large extent.
  • Extension Pipes - These can be attached to an airless gun to reach inaccessible & deep areas. Various lengths of pipes are available.   
  • Free Pattern Tip - In this, the pattern width & fluid output can be easily adjusted and also, the clogged nozzle can be instantly flushed- just by rotating knob.
  • Fluid Hose - Stainless steel & nylon on braided hoses with superior pulsation absorption capability & working pressure ranges up to 550 lg/cm2 are available for high pressure application.

Airless Painting Equipments :

Principle :
Paint is pressurized pneumatically under very high pressure with the help of double acting positive displacement ratio pump. This paint at high pressure is released into the atmosphere from the spray gun. The difference in the pressure causes atomization of the paint particles when released. The jet emerges as fine spray from the nozzle. The pumps depending on models and application develop pressure in between 90-480 Bar.

Airless equipment in comparison to conventional spray gun :

  • Output of airless spray gun is 3 to 5 times faster as output is 100% paint compared 5% paint output in conventional gun.
  • Paint attraction rate is about 10-20% more than conventional gun.
  • Solvent/ Thinner saving is reduced by 20% as viscous paint can be handled by airless painting.

Why to use airless?

  • For protective coating - heavy coating thickness is required.
  • For heavy coating thickness- high viscous paint required.
  • For viscous paints high pressure is required for the atomization.
  • Very high pressure is not available with the conventional gun.
  • Less bounce back thus, lower booth maintenance and cleanup time.
